While studying and working in London, I visited Miao communities in China and met silversmiths whose craft had been passed down through generations.

At the same time, many younger people were leaving the villages, making it increasingly difficult for traditional craft knowledge to continue in everyday life.

Formed Between began from a desire to explore how inherited craft knowledge might continue through contemporary jewellery, creating a connection between inherited knowledge and present-day wear.
