We work exclusively with high-purity 990 silver. Its softness lets the metal register handwork, creating measured surfaces and gentle curves that retain subtle traces of the making process. Its purity produces a calm sheen. It differs from standard sterling silver in its flexibility and a quieter reflection of light.
Shaping, filing and controlled surface treatments are carried out slowly to preserve depth and texture. High-purity silver marks easily, and some traces from the process remain when they contribute to the honesty of the surface. This approach respects the behaviour of the material rather than imposing a uniform industrial finish.
990 silver can be fully recycled without loss of quality. Working in small quantities reduces waste and supports a considered pace of making. Each object is allowed to develop at its own tempo, with clarity and intention.
